Grain & Glue is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Most of the buy links on this site point to Amazon, which carries essentially the entire beginner tool category.
The promise that matters
Commission never changes which tool we recommend.Our reasoning is identical whether a link earns us a lot, a little, or nothing at all. When the buyer-first choice — the cheaper set, the simpler tool, the thing you can skip entirely — is the right call for a beginner, that is what we tell you. If it earns us less, so be it. How the links work
- Buy buttons carry a #ad label and route through a link that tells the retailer we referred you.
- Prices shown come from a live retailer feed and are stamped with the date they were pulled. They change; we never display a stale number.
- Clicking an affiliate link may place a cookie in your browser so the retailer can attribute a purchase. See our privacy policy for details.
Other retailers and programs
At launch, our earning links are Amazon. We may add other retailers or brand-direct programs over time; when we do, the same rule applies — the recommendation comes first, and we will only ever earn from a program we have genuinely joined. Where we link to a retailer we don’t earn from, we treat it as a plain reference link.
